Trusted Photographer Map

No Means No

The infamous 'Trusted Photographer Map' something some people see as a negative, but overlook its simplicity of why its here.

Trusted Map

Quite simply the map is created by me and homes a list of photographers and studios of people:

1. I have worked with for many years

2. Some I have met in person

3. Have glowing references from MANY people

4. Have been a constant, rather than drop on and off at random.

Those 4 things alone are why this map was created so I can point people in the right direction of a safe working environment for shooting.

IF...IF ever a name was bought to my attention, there is no second guessing that said name would be removed with immediate effect, and for the sheer abuse of my and the brands trust would be highly named and shamed for doing such.

Q. How do I get on the map?                                                                                                         A. The map is open for anyone to join BUT they must meet a specific criteria, especially so IF i do not know them/havent worked with them.

1. Any kind of recommendation is a great start, it gives something to go on if multiple people can positively reinforce someone wanting to be on the map.

2. Reference checking, for example we may contact 3-5 people that someone has worked with for references, just to reinforce the persons reputation.

3. Internet search, by running a name on google, yahoo, bing etc, it can often bring up results, not always negative either and that also brings up anything from news articles, court articles etc

4. A general conversation, can always go a long way, just to re-affirm personality and the message that No Means No and the map are here for.

By running, with the criteria above, which if someone has nothing to hide, shouldn't be an issue, end of the day I am putting my name and brands names behind you, so therefore its all trust. But by doing the above, it tries to stop anyone 'falling between the cracks' and having anyone on the list, that can cause later issues or has had previous issues.

It is by no means foolproof and there are those that may be highly referenced by someone, yet might be someone else who doesn't agree with that reference, so therefore if theres proof and reason behind why someone shouldn't be on the map, I need to hear about it, I cannot react if I do not know.

But overall there are some amazing people on the map who I vouch for and would recommend to shoot with, especially the listed studios.
